Scientists are currently working on a car that completley runs on compressed air. The engine works by taking air from a 4500 psi. tank and presicely letting out bursts of air which pushes a piston similar to a regular combustion engine. The cars are being made of extremely light carbon fiber to allow better mileage. When combined with a small gasoline engine the mileage can be increased drastically. City versions are also availible that run completely on air.
