Earth hour was March 27, 2010. Everyone in schools, families and communities were asked to join in to help with this world event. This actually was suggested and acreated by the World Wide Fund for Nature(WWN). The time everyone went "lights out" was 8:30 to 9:30 for each timezone. About one billion people unplugged their appliances, and turned off their lights for saving our precious Earth. 126 countries are registered to participate. We as a nation and a world community have overturned expectations when it came to participating in this years Earth hour. So read up on the subject and participate next year. The more people that know about this helpful hand to our home will be able to help educate others on this important topic.
