Dubai, city known for its engineering marvels, has recently unveiled a new masterpiece: the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure ever with a total height of 2,727 feet. The cost for this building was 1.5 billion US dollars, not particularly helpful for Dubais large debt. The building is based on a symetrical Y-shape and has 27 terraces. The building uses 250,000 gallons of water and, during hot weather, 22,000,000 pounds of melting ice to cool it.
